Welcome to ISM—Pittsburgh! We're happy you're here. This site includes the latest chapter information, as well as ISM Global offerings and updates. ISM—Pittsburgh and ISM work collaboratively to enhance the customer service experience that all members have. And, the results of this website is just another example of our joint efforts to bring increased value to supply managaement professionals.
With approximately 800 members in the chapter, we remain true to our mission to serve "the education, certification, communication and networking needs of supply management professionals in the Greater Pittsburgh area. We will do this to enhance the supply management profession, its image and ethical standards to maximize membership value".
The 2024-2025 theme for this program year is "Pioneering the Future of Supply Chain Excellence through Learning and Innovation". We are excited to offer over 20 professional development and social events, awarding over 50 CEH's and offering topics on Leadership, BI & Analytics, Supplier Management & Auditing, AI & Procurement, Negotiations, Contracts, Inventory Management, Advanced Negotiations, Conflict in the Workforce, Diversity, to name just a few. These events will be offered both virtually and in-person.
We headed into 2025 with a January Lunch & Learn on the topic of The Value of a Strong Diversity Program. We followed up the Lunch & Learn with a February 18 webinar on Risk Management and Process Mapping. One CEH was awarded. But, the chilly winter weather will not slow ISM-Pittsburgh down. We are running into spring 2025 with a FREE one-day, March 22 AI Conference on AI Industry Insights. Seven CEH"s will be awarded at this event, which is co-sponsored with St. Vincent College.
On April 11, we will offer a Foundations of Inventory Management Seminar in collaboration with Duquesne University. Eight CEH's will be awarded at this very relevant and topical seminar. Dr. Matthew Drake, Duquesne University will lead the session. In May, we will host two events. First up is a site tour at The Carrie Furnaces followed by a social hour. This two hour event will be held on May 13. Two CEH"s will be awarded. On May 21, we will co-sponsor a one-day "Spark" conference. Six CEH's will be awarded at this event.
On June 27, also known as The MOST Fun Friday of the Summer, ISM-Pittsburgh and co-sponsors Seneca Resources Company, LLC and PennEnergy Resources will host its 8th Annual Sporting Clays Fundraiser. Plan to join us for a day of networking, comradery, great food, and fundraising! Contact Lisa Romango at lisaromango9104@comcast.net for registration information. We plan to sell out this event, so register early to secure your/your team spot. No experience is necessary.
