ISM—Pittsburgh will deliver a variety of professional events both in-person and virtually to best serve the professional development needs of the membership. The 2022-2023 events will begin on August 23 with a webinar focused on n ESG. We will host a Site Visit at MSA Safety on September 20, and return to a virtual event on October 18.
The first seminar of the program year will be held on October 28 and features the return of the Annual Women Who Lead Conference. This event is curated for women, but open to all who want to learn, network, and engage! More details will follow. We return to a virtual event on November 15 with a webinar focused on Sourcing. And, we will close out 2022 with an awesome holiday event. Check the Calendar Section of ISM—Pittsburgh's website for all details and additional training events as we are building out the entire program year with several new and exciting meetings.

Master the essential building blocks of modern production planning with this introductory course on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Designed for professionals and students seeking to enhance their supply chain knowledge, this class provides a comprehensive foundation in the core concepts and calculations underlying effective MRP systems.
· Explore key topics including supply and demand planning, MRP requirements, and the role of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in driving production priorities. Learn aggregate demand analysis and Available-to-Promise (ATP) strategies to support customer commitments and capacity alignment.
· Understand MRP inputs and outputs, including the Bill of Materials (BOM), multi-level explosions, and essential MRP calculations.
· Delve into planning time fences, the projected available balance (PAB) formula logic, and practical lot-sizing policies employed in real-world manufacturing environments.
